Retained Services

Our Retained Recruiting process refers to a specific type of recruitment service where ClearPoint and the organization work exclusively to hiring high-level executives, top-tier professionals, or candidates for critical and strategic positions within an organization.

Retained Recruiting is generally used for positions with higher salaries, greater responsibility, and more specialized requirements, where finding the right candidate may be more challenging and crucial for the client's business success.

Identification of Client Needs: The process starts with in-depth discussions between ClearPoint and the client to understand the specific requirements for the position to be filled. This includes understanding the role, responsibilities, qualifications, and any other essential criteria.

Market Research: ClearPoint then conducts thorough market research to identify potential candidates who match the client's requirements. This involves tapping into our existing network, leveraging industry contacts, and sometimes even headhunting from competitor companies.

Candidate Evaluation: Once potential candidates are identified, we conduct extensive interviews and assessments to evaluate their qualifications, experience, skills, and cultural fit with the client's organization.

Shortlisting: Based on the candidate evaluations, ClearPoint creates a shortlist of the most suitable candidates, typically presenting a handful of highly qualified individuals to the client.

Client Interviews and Offer Stage: ClearPoint coordinates interviews between the client and the shortlisted candidates. After the client selects a candidate, we may also help with salary negotiations and facilitating the job offer process.

Fees: Retained Recruiting typically involves a specific fee structure that sets it apart from other recruitment methods. The fees are broken down into the following components:

Retainer Fee: At the beginning of the process, the client pays a retainer fee to ClearPoint. This fee is a percentage of the total recruitment fee and is usually paid upfront. The retainer fee ensures our commitment to the search and is not contingent on the successful placement of a candidate.

Success Fee: Once the recruitment process is completed, and the client hires a candidate recommended by ClearPoint, the remaining part of the fee, known as the success fee, is paid. This fee makes up the majority of the total recruitment fee and is based on a percentage of the candidate's first-year salary or a pre-agreed fixed amount.

Exclusivity: During a retained search, the client typically agrees to work exclusively with ClearPoint, meaning they won't engage other recruiters for the same position during the search process.
